View Full Version : Jp.net: Flight around the world
I was thinking that it would be neat to fly around the world in flight sim but due to the fact that I do have a life outside of my computer I cannot do it myself. I was thinking if the world was broken into small sections a forum member could fly a section or two and we could get around the world quickly. What do you think of this idea and it's feasibility?

Greg, your link does not work. I already have that aircraft though.
For those who wish to be part of this though, the aircraft can be downloaded off avsim. Click on file library at the top left hand corner of the main page, and then search for "Aerodesigns".
You will first need to download the base pack, and then go ahead and download the Turkish Airlines livery. It comes with an easy auto-install, so installation is no problem.
You may face a problem of gauges not appearing. If so, contact me, and I'll tell you what to do, if you don't already know so.

Ok, I am confused. Do you mean something like:
I take the route say from DEN to LGA
then
Indian Airlines takes the route LGA to LGW
then
Greg takes the route LGW- somewhere else and the fligth ends back up in DEN?
If so, that is a great idea, all the screenshots. :D

We have the San francisco-Anchorage route open currently.
African routes are yet to be planned. If you want to do the Alaskan route, or a later African route, gimme a PM.

Nope! Turboprop all the way, and all round every continent! Kind of like this...

Wow Kat, that is a long way. How many airports did you land at?
p.s. any crashes along the way?

Can't remember how many airports, i DID have it all in a database but i have deleted it! It was well into the hundreds. No crashes, but three glides to the nearest airport having run out of fuel!
Came about 3ft from hitting Mt Everest too

ATC tends to direct you into mountains in fs2002, then if you try and avoid them you risk having your flight plan terminated :(

All the routes are planned, but they are being put on hold for two days. Pete's fiance passed away. :(
