You are doing something wrong with your scans. White balance is off, contrast, brightness, etc. Grain is way up too.

Can you give us a little more info. on your equipment and any post image processing i.e. software that you may be using?

My camera: Nikon F65 With 70-300mm;
The photos are slides;
and they are shop scanned;
Software: Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Photoshop.

Ok - we can narrow this down a bit... do your slides look the same as the scanned images? If so then there may be a problem with your camera settings (White balance, exposure etc).

If your slides look great then the culprit is the scanning service that you are using. You may want to invest in a good quality slide scanner for your PC.

Paintshop Pro and Photoshop are both excellent tools when used right but can only do so much if the originals are not the best quality...

There is no white balance setting on an N65, and you can tell the exposure is off to start with.
