Anybody else collect the corgi range of aircraft models??
They are not cheap but well worth the money.
I have the Vickers Viscount in United colors. Tail number:N744O. they are great quality and well worth the price.

Hi,
I have three of these models and think there excelant but sometimes flimsy.
I have:
TWA 707-Very detailed but a bit flimsy
Lufthansa Vickers Viscount-No problems
Northewest Orient Stratocruiser-A bit flimsy
Thanks

The only part on mine that is flimsy is the propellers.

I have the 1:144 BOAC 707-336 C registration G-AXGW, one of only 1900 made....problem is, the antennaes on here are very flimsily made, so a little vibration broke it coming back home. Hopefully CORGI will strenghten the future replicas they roll out.
My Viscount has no antennas so I am lucky because it has been in some...shall we say minor scrapes.

Other than the antennae chipping off (it still has the big chunk remaining sticking forward of the tail), it is a masterpiece otherwise....

You are lucky - on the early 707's Corgi had forgotten that antenna totally!
I have (today) collected the latest BOAC Comet - polished metal lower fuselage and wings - looks stunning
They are well worth the money.

I also find they are well worth the money. I have 8 of them. They are
2x KC97s
2x Viscounts (British Midland and Virgin)
1x DC3 (Air Atlantique)
1x L1049 (Air India)
2x B17s (Memphis Belle and Yankee Doodle)
I have been lucky enough to have nothing break on them at all. I have quite a deep shelf to put them on so i put them back as far as possible so as to reduce the accident rate!!!
I'm sure you will all agree long may they continue
I have the 1:144 Qantas 707 and I love it!

Got them cheap in Hong Kong..... no numbers on the card :D
I'll have a pic of my Viscount later. I love that plane.
