This is one fine looking simulator! My PC won't be able to run it though, so my only option is to buy a new one :D (like that will ever happen  )

Here is the info: Click Here (http://zone.msn.com/flightsim/FS02SpecialFS9.asp)

It looks amazing..

From what ive read on the PAI forums etc. a good addition will be the realistic weather + AI traffic at airports without towers.

I'm not sure yet if I'm going to buy it. I just got FS2002 exactly where I want it, as far as AI traffic. What I would like is Microsoft to come out with an upgrade for FS2002. They have upgrades for their other products why not Flight Sim. I would love to take advantage of the new features while keeping all my addon's.

Hi all

Being an avid photographer, I also like to 'Flight Sim' during some spare time.

While I just bought a new PC during November of last year, FS2002 is now running like a dream.

After reading the reports, I am awaiting FS2004 now.

One thing I am looking forward to is for the first time, volumetric 3D clouds :) They were great in FLY! so here's hoping FS2004 can match the atmosphere.

Rumor has it that it will be called FS XP, since it will be shipped in 2003. I hope itll be good, and it will be a pain to install all the addons again...

Why would I buy FS2004? I have EVERYTHING I needed on FS2002 and it suits me well, who cares about the older classic birds, I can download that, but the photorealistic weather do sound mighty nice, but I have some AWESOME clouds i downloaded by Fs Sky World Clouds and I have some great sceneries for 2002. Maybe I'll wait til FS2006 comes out. :-)

Hi all

Kevin, yep, I have downloaded the Sky World clouds also and they do make a difference.....but........still have that 2D effect which is not nice when flying through then.......they 'move' to let you fly past.

If the 3D clouds in FS2004 are going to be how they say they are, then I will be happy.

Hi,
I'm in mixed opinion wheather to get it or not because i'd rather have a aircraft I could do a flight with realistically rather then a Wright Flyer which I would only mess about with or a DC-3 which isn't exactly my favourite aircraft etc....
I'd rather they put a Comet in or Nimrod.

Also its not just the older, mainly American aircraft that have been great contributions to a centry of flight, how about the SUD Carvelle - first T-Tail airliner or the A320 - the first Fly-By-Wire aircraft or the Comet - First civil jet aircraft. I mean a Vickers Vimmy why not a Vickers VC-10.

Thanks

Well I don't think you'll see a European plane come with FS anytime soon since Microsoft's HQ and Boeing's production plant are both based in Washington. Knowing Boeing if Microsoft packaged an Airbus product in FS they wouldn't allow Microsoft to include the 737 and 747.

I just hope they update JFK in ACOF, if not I'm not buying it!

I'm going to buy it because I like to keep up witht hte times. Seeing as I have the original one and 200 and 2002 so I have pretty much all except 1998. I hear Lane Wallace is going to be the featured aviation "expert" liek the way Rod Machado was in 2002. She wrote her column about her flying the simulator at Microsoft. It is in the March (I think) Flying magazine.
