Submitting new types

Ive recantly been trying to submit some vintage glider types and after having them rejected i now try to upload them under Gliders and it says that i cant due to manufacturers name not being in the type, what can i do here?

Also ive been trying to submit a SCHEIBE BERGFALKE II-55 as a new type but despite selecing Schiebe as the type and thencopying it exctly into model it says ive not put the manufaturers name in the type.

Hi Ollie,

From how you write your forum post I'm guessing that the type upload is not working for you. If so you need to do it this way....

There are 3 fields to complete. Under manufacturer scroll to the bottom and select NEW MANUFACTURER. Complete the fields like this......

New Manufacturer.... Nabern Gmb
New type.................Nabern Gmb Fs24
Aircraft model...........Nabern Gmb Fs24 Phonix T (is it Phonix or Phoenix ?)

In all cases, in the comments box at the bottom type "New glider as per.....(and quote your registration source or other source of information)"

Of the types you give in your other email to me you would therefore proceed as follows for each one....

Abbots and Baynes
Abbots and Baynes Scud
Abbots and Baynes Scud 3

Eon
Eon AP-10
Eon AP-10-460 series 1

You will have to wait for that one to go into the list before requesting addition of ....
EoN (which you will now be able to select as an existing manufacturer)
EoN Olympia (new type)
EoN Olympia 1 (new model)

Carmam
Carmam M200
Carmam M200 Foehn

Schleicher is already in the database but you need to add the type so select the manufacturer from the upload new type form...
Schleicher (existing manufacturer)
Schleicher Rhonbussard (new type)
Schleicher Rhonbussard (new model)

PZL-Bielsko SZD-9BIS

Ollie...note that this is in the main list of manufacturers and not the glider list. Always check all the manufacturer lists (Homebuilt, Glider, Ultralight etc.... as sometimes what you want is not always where you expect to find it.

I know how to submit new types and i followed the normal procedure and added to the notes they are vintage gliders and a registration so the database edditor could even look at them but this is an example email i got rejecting them:

Builder: Abbots and Baynes
Type : Abbots and Baynes Scud 3
Model :

was rejected.

My question is how do i add them to the gliding category in the manufacturers list?

Cheers Brian, shame it took so long. How come the Nabern wasnt added? Its another glider. As for the Eon i cant submit it as it needs to go into the Eon list which is in the Glider category and thus it wont let me submit it as the manufacturers name is not in the type name.

Edit:
In fact they are all gliders so should be in the glider category but as stated above i cannot do this.
