Okay so I flew this a year and a half ago, and I found it in a file so I though I would post it. Sorry about my writing it is pretty bad. I also have pics but I'm not sure how to post them.

Toronto-New York AC E190
New York-Toronto AC 319

Routing: Toronto-New York LGA AC724/ Seat 27A
Aircraft: Air Canada EMB-190 C-FHJJ
Cruise Level: FL290
Flight Duration: 0:53
Pushback/Rotation/Touchdown: 9:02/ 9:23/ 10:15

My mom dad and I had planned this trip for about three months but booked it a month before. My mom and I were traveling on Aeroplan and my dad was traveling on a normal fare as he was going to Singapore.

We started from our home in Guelph at around five for the 8:15 flight to LGA. When we got to the Park’n Fly we had to wait about half an hour for a bus to pick us up. We got to Terminal 1 and since we checked in at home we just had to do our bags. We did that then we did U.S. pre clearance dropped off our bags and were on to security.

Security was a breeze, except for the taking off your shoes part. I then went off to our gate while my parents got stuff from Starbucks.

We all got to our gate and settled in. After about twenty minutes I noticed something was wrong as we were departing in 45 minutes and the plane had still not arrived from New York.

We waited to figure out when our plane would arrive as we knew it was delayed. So as I knew we would be here for at least another 40 minutes to an hour.

So then an announcement was made that our flight was delayed until 8:55 so I waited a bit by reading airplane magazines and looking out the window waiting for the 8:21 arrival of the inbound.

By then I got pretty board at our gate as the flight to Boston just pushed back the Houston flight pushed. And the flight to Charlotte was delayed to 9:30.

The gate across from us was occupied by a flight to San Francisco then a flight to Atlanta. Before that it was a flight to somewhere in Florida.

Finally our plane arrived from New York at 8:21

Right after the passengers had gotten off they started to service the plane. It took them only like ten to fifteen minutes to service the whole plane and it was really clean in the end.

At about 8:45 we started boarding took about five minutes to board executives and people that need help then we were boarded and went to row 27.

We sat for about ten minutes then we started our pushback came back in and started again. And around 9:02 we pushed.

We pushed and taxied by a few Jazz planes and took off from runway 06L after two 320’s and 77W.

The AVOD was turned on shortly after takeoff and it was amazing, except for the part half of it doesn’t work. The legroom was enough. It is ok for the journey’s this plane would normally do.

On my PTV I watched The Office but like thirty seconds before the show finished they turned off the PTV’s. The views of New York that we got were stunning it was an amazing approach to LaGuardia’s runway 31.

Once we landed we taxied for a few minutes and then arrived at 10:25 at gate A6. Before we took off I asked the flight attendant if I could visit the cockpit on arrival she granted that permission and when we were exiting the plane I got her attention and she let me in.

After we got out of the plane, my mom and I caught up with my dad and within twenty minutes we were out of the terminal and in a taxi to Manhattan.

Routing: New York LGA-Toronto AC721 / Seat 18A
Aircraft: Air Canada A319 C-FYNS
Cruise Level: FL300
Flight Duration: 1:12
Pushback / Rotation / Touchdown: 5:30 / 6:02 / 7:14

After we took a taxi from the hotel we checked in about ten minutes. After that we cleared security. That took about fifteen minutes to do and then I went to look at the Continental plane boarding for Houston. The gate right across from that one was a Jet Blue gate that was relitivaly quiet.

As I looked around at the departures I noticed two departures that were cancelled. One was going to Toronto, it was the one right before ours and the other was to Ottawa it was a Jazz flight.

After this I ate a pretzel stick and then went off to the Jet Blue Gate area as the Air Canada area does not have any windows.

So the runways looked pretty congested. They would land one plane then take one off. I saw an Air Tran do a go around. I have never seen one. Well right after the Air Tran incident our plane landed an took a looong taxi to gate A7.

Right after all the passengers were off new luggage was loaded and aircraft serviced the new flight attendants caught up with the pilots that just flew the plane in from Toronto.

We boarded and got to our seats 18 A and B about fifteen minutes later we pushed back and taxied and waited for about half an hour and finally we hit the crossing of the runway just as a United 757 was about to land. We took off from runway 13.

About five minutes after takeoff the seatbelt sign went off and five minutes later they started snack and beverage service. I took a Coke and the same chips as on the outbound. During this time they were also playing the news.

About 20 minutes before landing we got some great views of Niagara Falls and took a weird approach going over Toronto and then down to a touchdown on 24R.

After the taxi we got to gate 134. After walking for like ten minutes to get to customs and imagration we cleared it and then waited for like twenty minutes to get our bags. When we got out we waited a bit for the shuttle to Park’n Fly. And then we got home in like an hour.

We had a wonderfull time in New York. Comments are welcome.

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I took this flight when AC had only 1 plane XM'ed. Another thing though, on the flight there it was on a Friday evening so most of the people utilized the AVOD, on the return it was on a Monday evening and right about the time when buisness travelers came home, so not that much of a need at that time. Well now AC has AVOD installed on most of the fleet so that is not a problem. Another funny thing was that my mom and I were like the only people that didn't have suits on for the return.

Yeah AC is wonderful. They have really changed there service.Your saying that you would fly from PHL I'm guessing then you are used to flying US Airways? Unfortunatly I might not be able to fly for them one day if what's going on in our world continues .

Good trip report!:) It's nice to see that Air Canada has AVOD PTVs even on its smaller planes and they still serve snacks. I so badly wish that United Airlines could do this, unfortunately, due to their financial situation, they keep going in the opposite direction. How were the flight attendants? Sounds like AC is pretty good.

As for your pictures. Use a photo-editing program such as Photoshop, the Microsoft Office Picture Manager, or Adobe's free Picture Elements program. Crop your images down to about 1600x1200 or 1024x768. Then save the photo under a slightly different name. For instance, say the original photo was titled ACAirbusA319.jpg, title the new one as ACAIrbusA319Croped.jpg. Then using a photo hosting site, I like http://imageshack.us/ the best, click on uplod image then press the "browse" button and search for your file, once down click open and press "host it" and you should get a page with your image. You can choose between hosting a thumbnail image or a hotlink to the forum. Whichever you choose copy the web address and paste that address in your review and it should work. Let me know if you need help.

Well my mom also helped design part of Bryant Park and I thought I had a few pictures of it from our hotel room, but I can't seem to find them so I guess that's where I leave you.

Sorry about the quality of the photographs, I'm not the best at taking photos

I don't have photos of the return flight as my dad was going to Singapore on SQ22 the worlds longest flight and I wanted pictures, but those didn't turn out very well. Plus the pictures of Singapore weren't the best because of all the smog.

Thanks Nehal
