That is some interesting stuff!
Interesting to contemplate how that carries over to light aircraft flying... Without an ejection seat, we can't have a go at turning back knowing if it is not successful we can always bang out later on. Everyone knows not to turn back shortly after takeoff if the engine has failed completely, but lots of people kill themselves trying to turn back with an engine that is not doing too well but is still producing some power.

You sound like a jealous "dipshit". I doubt you could do as well. If you are better, then prove it. I challenge you to post a video of a similar emergency that you have encountered, AND give a summary, analysis and self-criticism in front of a live audience. Let's see you handle a real emergency better, AND give better self-criticism.
