Hello,

I hope, that anyone can help me identifinig this aircraft. I've got no idea what type it is. The only information I can provide, that this aircraft was in service in the 1940th with the German Air Force.

Build style seems Fokker, large wooden think wing, fabric/wood fuselage, exposed landing gear. Could be a Fokker F.8 but it would have to have been re-engined.

It's solved. It's a Dornier Do-11. Thanks anyway for your help.

Well I don't think it's a Do-11. looks more like a Bloch MB-200.

The Luftwaffe operated some of them.

Thanks for your hint, Erwin, but I think you're wrong. If you compare the main gear of the Bloch to my photo, you'll see some difference, i.e. the covered wheels of the Bloch. I found another side on the net, showing several photos of Do-11s. Here's the link, http://luftarchiv.de/flugzeuge/dornier/do11.htm (sorry, text is in German).

Yep but the wheel covers are only optional. They can be removed. They are just Fairings And the engines of the Do-11 are in the wing leading edge and not underneath as on your picture. Note also the squared wings against round wings on the Do-11;-)So Imo it's a MB-200. Makes more sence also because of the dark colours on the aircraft, Th Do-11 had the pre war light gray colours and not the dark camo as on the picture. Anyway it's a ugly plane haha

Erwin's correct. The Do-11 tailplane is mounted on the top of the fuselage and on the Bloch it's mounted on the bottom. As well as that, the Do-11 has bracing between the fuselage and the wing, where the Bloch doesn't.

I'd say its a Bloch looking at Chris's post.

On the picture there is no diagonal strut from the undercarriage going to the engine housing, as the DO-11 should have one, only a vertical one. And the window configuration is clearly different on the DO-11.

Nice and rare aircraft you got there.

What was the Bloch used for?

Ok guys, I'm convicted, it really seams to be the Bloch, comparing the photo to the graphics Chris posted.

The Bloch was originally a French aircraft, captured by the Germans during WWII. Originally it was used as a bomber, but retired by the French airforce in 1940. The captured aircrafts were used by the German airforce for training purposes only or given to there allies, they used them for training purposes too and some were used by them in the war with the Russian forces.
