View Full Version : SriLankan Airbus damaged at FRA

Just heard it in the news. While proceeding push-back in FRA, SriLankan A340 4R-ADF (c/n 374) cought damage, because the driver of the push-back-car startet too early and moving plane tore the attached airbridge off, which scratchted the fuselage nearly 40 feet and left a hole in it.

As its so hard to see that the freakin jetbridge is sitting there connected to the plane.

Has to be examinated. BTW: some ten years ago, a drunken driver of a catering truck smashed the wing of a parked Georgian Tu-154. The leading edge was heavily damaged and the aircraft had to be repaired.

And here (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=087_1198706113) it was the other way round. Only I don't think the pilot was drunk.

I agree with you that they should have been able to see the jetbridge. However, the jetbridges are not connected to the aircraft.
