Just finished up moving all my Hong Kong AI traffic over to Kai Tak, which required programming an AFCAD file from scratch. Here are some shots of a trip around the pattern during final testing.

Hi Chris,
Thats interesting !!. Just a few things, ELAL had no 77y's at Kai Tak times and those planes on the back fence (Behind the hanger) should be nose to the fence.
Anyway it looks great and have fun. You know I once saw a Air China 744 depart RWY 31 and climb OVER the mountain... NO LEFT TURN images/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Thanks for the comments, Daryl. I'll get the planes by the boundary fence turned around ASAP. images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
Regarding El Al -- I'm forced to use current schedules for every airport in FS2002, including Kai Tak, so I wouldn't doubt if quite a bit of the traffic has changed since its unfortunate closure.
I'll close with a shot from when I visited Hong Kong two years ago. This shot was taken while standing on the centerline of runway 13/31 looking northwest toward the famous checkerboard and leadin turn for the IGS rwy 13 approach. Looking at this photo makes me sad 'til this day that I didn't get to see Kai Tak in action. images/smiles/icon_sad.gif

It sure is realistic. But on Kai Tak airliners rarely come in from the sea. They come in over Kowloon before turning hard to land. They take off towards the sea, if they were to take off towards the mountains, they'd have one hellofa problem gaining altitude before hitting the mountain. And I don't think that a fully loaded A340 would make it. If you know A340s, you know they don't climb too well.
And the simulation seems large than the real kai tak. I don't think China Airlines had their A340s during the days of Kai Tak. Swiss didn't exist in the days of Kai Tak, it was Swissair. And I didn't even know Biman Bangladesh and Sri Lankan flew to Hong Kong, I could be wrong. But I know that Lufthansa doesn't fly A340s to Hong Kong. They certainly had those in the days of Kai Tak. And no Cathay Pacific old colors? They had plenty of those in the days of Kai Tak.
Sorry for being such a critic. Nothing's perfect. I shoudn't ruin it.

Nice work!
My suggestion is to have some CX in old livery (green/white lines), this livery was still painted on most its planes during Kai Tak era.
