Hello,

I'm wondering about this recent 'reject'. The two reasons given were 'catagories wrong or missing' which I was able to ID the aircraft and are correct. Should it be a 'Ramp' or 'Tarmac' photo? And 'Obstructing Objects / Foreground Clutter'. Hmmm? I really hate to think of the American Flag as 'Obstructing' or 'Clutter'! Any thoughts as to how I could get it accepted?

Well, the wrong category was that you checked "government" and not "cargo". Well the obstruction/clutter thing. Hmm it is a nice picture, of american flags with an american aircraft in the background. As the flags are obstructing the aircraft, the rejections actually makes sense.

I might add that the photos is compressed pretty bad, so that needs to be fixed too.

Regarding the aircraft in the above question - Hey, don't plant ideas! There was no mention of 'compression' so I'm gonna leave it lay. };>)

Regarding 'Government/Cargo' - it's both, so how do you know which? I would think Government came first????

Anyway, how do I tell which catagory I checked on this photo?

You can select more than one category! Please, select both!

You missed 'Night Shot' in the (lovely) Korean Air shots. Remember the definition for it is:
Night Shot: Depict an aircraft in night/dusk/dawn lighting? This is definitely dusk lighting!

I just wanted to say 'Thanks!' for the recent help I got for 3 photos I submitted that had been rejected. I resubmitted them using the suggestions offered here and now they are in the db. Thank you and thanks to the Screeners too!

I think it woud be very usefull to be able to view the categorys ticked on our rejected photos and maybe even the photos in the database.

Would a shot like this be Airport - Runway shot or a Cessna 152 cockpit shot that just has the runway in it? So, should I upload the other pic I got as Airport or as a regular cockpit shot?

After I got some category rejections lately I have to ask if these are considered as Warbirds too or just Military?

Just had a pic of an RAF C17 Globemaster rejected for bad or missing categories. I don't think there's any way I can actually tell what I did or did not tick, but I've checked that it automatically ticks military rather than civil, and I don't think I would have ticked any of the other categories because none seem to me to apply. The only thing I wondered was whether I should have ticked 'cargo', but I thought that should only be used for civilian aircraft. Can anyone enlighten me? MTIA. John

There you go- exactly that's what got your pic rejected- it's a military cargo aircraft.

The easiest way to remember is the "C" in C-17 , C-130 , C-141, C-5 etc denotes "C"argo :)

Yak-52 ? It first flew in 1976 and is still being produced so not a warbird. small prop i would say it's really borderline. just leave a note to the screeners telling you're not 100% sure.

The category rejection has nothing to do with the CN, I would suggest you did not select 'Cargo Aircraft'.
