Can't find anything on this aircraft:
http://www.jetphotos.net/user-uploads/EGE_XA-UEA.jpg
Reg is XA-UEA. Anyone know the full aircraft type and MSN?
Hi Mark,
Its a Hawker Siddeley HS-125-700A cn 257061
Previous rego was N810GS.

No way! I swear to God I looked in the census and didn't find anything. I googled it too and got one mention of the reg from an airport noise violation report, but it didn't list the type or owner.
I think I'm losing it... :)

Hi, from your appeal rejection note:
"Please upload using the Airport Overview guidelines."
Bart Bandy
05-31-2007, 02:38 AM
For some reason, I don't get the appeal emails. I've sent a note to admin. What does "airport overview" mean? As in checking the airport tower/terminal box or is there more .
thanks
Follow these instructions from the Upload Page in the auto fill section:
NOTE: For airport shots as Control Tower, Terminal, etc... type in the Airport 4 letter code in both the Registration and Airport fields.
That should get you there!

I have 2 Army Blackhawks I'm trying to look up but am having no luck. I've tried Scramble and the Aircraft serial site (http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/usafserials.html)

thanks for any help

Aren't you missing the first digit ?
Shouldn't it be 00-24424 and 00-24130 ?
I can't recover anything from Scramble either....
The closest I can find to 0-24424 is 85-24424, a UH-60A. I can't find any entry for 0-24130. Are you able to post shots for me?

I have a CH-47 registration that I can't find more info on.
My bird has 0-10263
when I go to this site (http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/1970.html), I can find this info for the previous Registration number.
70-15000/15035 Boeing-Vertol CH-47C Chinook
15000 (c/n B.642) rebuilt as CH-47D and reserialed 90-0207
15001 (c/n B.643) rebuilt as CH-47D and reserialed 84-24170
15002 (c/n B.644) rebuilt as CH-47D and reserialed 89-0149
15003 (c/n B.645) rebuilt as CH-47D and reserialed 91-0262
from my blackhawk question, I know they put the 0-1 to clarify more than 10 yrs old. Can we presume that mine would be 91-0263/ c/nB.646?

Where can I find a Van RV-8A in the aircraft drop down menus on the upload page? There's nothing listed under the manufactorer of Vans. There are a lot of photos in the databse of Van RV-X aircraft, so it's in there somewhere. I just can't seem to locate it.
What I do when something like that comes up is to copy the reg # of one of the Vans already in the DB into the autofill box and then change the reg # and c/n to the one in your pic. Hope this helps.

From the engine cowls the type is a B737-400. Other than that, I can't find the airline so far.
It seems to me, that this aircraft belongs to Saga Airlines. Maybe I'm wrong, but could it be the former TC-SGD, the letters at the nose gear are looking like "GD".

From what I've read 9H is also the registration for Malta. So when I found a pdf for Malta it was all 9H-xxx.
-Chris
The VP-M regs for Malta were used, when Malta wasn't independent from the United Kingdom. After they became independent, the current 9H regs were introduced in 1968. That's why I asked if the aircraft is still active.
But I found out something else, the VP-M is in use again. It's now used by Montserrat.

It would help to know the type or if you dont know a photo. If you want to email me the photo i will do my best to help.
The other option is to upload it and just put a note to the screeners to say you cant find the C/N.

The correct registration should be G-OBYJ, if you've entered the correct construction number. If you'll use the autofill function, you'll get the correct aircraft type. For categories, use night shot.
In addition, the photo looks a bit soft to me, as well as not level. I think you should do there some reediting before uploading it again.

I've been trying to figure out the reg number for a SW plane that I got a pic of in PIT(for my logbook, not upload to the DB). I appears to end in a rounded letter (like a "C") and then a "T" at the very end of the registration. It isn't the usual "SW", "WN", or "LV" at the end.
I took it at 9:45AM on a Saturday (March 22nd), if that helps anyone. It was taxing by(not sure if it was just arriving or leaving).
Thanks for any help!

Hi folks,
Wonder if anyone has info for reg/cn for this aircraft, shot taken Southend/EGMC, 16 Aug 08, have some info, aircraft is possibly ex G-JEAJ (msn E2099) of FlyBe a 200QT. Maybe aircraft is off the register waiting new allocation ..?
not a very good photo so dont think it would pass for inclusion in the JP data base so its just for my records.

Here Steve,
Amerer Air acquires first new BAe 146QT
Austrian cargo airline Amerer Air will acquire the first newly-converted BAe 146QT. Amerer Air is based in Linz and currently operates a Fokker F27-500 freighter. It will receive former Flybe series 200QT, G-JEAJ (msn E2099), which was converted to QT standard by Aerostar in Bacău. After a successful first flight in this configuration on June 25, she was ferried to Southend for painting into Amerer Air colors. She is currently undergoing final maintenance checks, after which she will be ferried to Linz. Amerer Air will operate her on behalf of major integrator companies and on ad hoc freight charter work. Amerer Air was founded in 1995 by Captain Heinz Peter Amerer who is joint owner and Chief Executive Officer. Captain Amerer is also an airline pilot and engineer and has built up Amerer Air with his wife Susanne Amerer and their versatile team to achieve a high quality cargo business. [2008-07-08]

I can trace the markings to an SH-2F, 150142, cn 92 with HSL33, Code TF-14, w/o Mar 77

Best idea would be the normal comment field. You should write that the markings are fake and belonged to a SH-2F. The info is also important for the viewer imho.

It's definitely an '8' as you can see from the enlargement. Any other ideas?
The last two digits of United's fin numbers are the last two digits of the rego, leaving only A319 N841UA or A320 N441UA. As yours is an A320 I'd have to suggest that on return from Ted the fn was changed to 4841!

Hi Mike, quite a few sites identified the aircraft but none knew the background to the accident.

Hi everybody, I have a picture of a Cessna T303 Crusader chilean registration CC-PIC
I've been in a lot of places, scramble also but I still can't find the CN. I've also checked pics on the web of crusaders looking for one with the same paint... I think the aircraft arrived to Chile during 2008 and it could have some pics abroad because I have a file with all chilean registrations until january 2008 and the registration is not there.
If someone could give me some help is really appreciate.
thanks
Fernando.

I see you uploaded it as T30300104, is that correct?

Hi AJ, that's correct. A friend of mine from Germany made some investigations and gave me the CN. In fact when I posted my message yesterday I already had the number and I was looking for some other source to be sure.
I'm still confused trying to know where te aircraf came from and why does not have any picture somewhere but following the registration I get nothing. Any sugestion?
Thanks

I allready sent it once, but obviously my correction did not make it into the database...
The 44+53 is still showing up as an ECR Tornado in the automatic filler.

I have looked everywhere and couldn't find the full serial on this bird:
http://machimages.com/temp/JP.net/UNK09112008.jpg
The tail has "RA" and "05209" on it.
Also, does the photo look ok for upload?
i think it might be "05-3209" but just want to make sure :)

It looks OK for upload...but which airforce are you talking about. I'm assuming USAF ? Scramble has no record of a serial 05-3209.

Thanks Brian, that's probably the one. It is the USAF and I am attaching a picture just to clear any confusion, it's not the one I want to upload to I didn't edit it, but you can see the numbers I was working with. I knew it was 05-*209 but was coming up blank.

You have the registration correct but have used that as the c/n as well which is incorrect.
www.scramble.nl (http://www.scramble.nl) shows the reg. but no c/n. Reupload leaving the c/n field blank and leave a small note to the screeners regarding the unavailibility of the c/n on scramble.
Also it is HU.21L-60, with a '.' after the HU.

Hello All,
I have a photo to upload of a BA 777 in old Landor livery at YSSY from Jan 1997. The aircraft was still in test phase and not yet delivered to British Airways at this time. It was our first sighting of a BA 777 at YSSY as a Boeing 777 was a relatively brand new aircraft in 1997. The aircraft shows the test rego N5023Q behind wing as well as "IB" at top of tail as this a/c became G-VIIB the second 777 to go into service for BA. My qustion is which rego should I use to upload in the queue?
thank you

Hi,
you should use N5023Q for uploading

Hello.
during the latest events at Dresden and the Obama visit I "had" to upload a lot of Boeing C-17's and noticed that there are two different types/formats of c/n's in the database
e.g. P-184 with the "-" here
[photoid=6584079]
e.g. P163 without the "-" here
[photoid=6583137]
and then I uploaded a new one
[photoid=6584058]
and the c/n came out P-7183 where I think I typed in P-183 with a remark to the screeners that I'm not sure about the correct format.
Hope someone has some insight knowledge and probably the wrong entries can be fixed. Note that these are just examples and the there are also Regs with both types of the c/n format are in the database.
georg
Thanks Georg. Our standard is P-xxx.

Hi everyone, could I please have some help on the registration of a USAAF C-130? The only tail markings were JW (NAS Brunswick?) and 5313. Is it possible this number is the cn? If so, the rego would be 92-3022?
Thanks, Evan
That's a tough one! The closest I can find is 93-7313.
Do you have the photo handy?

I'm unsure of how to categorize the prototype Terrafugia Transition roadable airplane and would appreciate the correct classifications for uploading. (It's marked in several places with "Terrafugia" if that matters as far as a manufacturer's color scheme.)
http://www.terrafugia.com/
Thanks,
Mark
Hi Mark, category wise it only requires "Small Prop".

Thanks for the quick reply, AJ, but my confusion starts before that point. Should I use "General Aviation", "Manufacturer", or "Other"? And then, which subcategory?
Again, the plane is the prototype and displays the manufacturer's name (Terrafugia) in several places. I submitted Terrafugia as a manufacturer under the "Aircraft" menus. Do I need to do the same under "Airline"?
Thanks again,
Mark
Just as a manufacturer is fine.

N reg vintage aircraft / warbirds often carry NCxxxx or NLxxx etc but the FAA database normally ignores this 2nd letter. I have uploaded a P51C which carries NL61429 but is actually N61429 and this is what I used as the reg so I was quite surprised to receive a rejection for 'bad info - registration'. I have appealled this rejection as I believe the screener made a genuine error - there are plenty of aircraft carrying NL & NC regs that are shown as Nxxxx
Hi Paul, the database standard is to list them as it appears on the aircraft. Please include NL or NC.

AJ, thanks for that - is it a recent change ? as there are quite a few aircraft carrying NC & NL in the database already but the info shows N- only. The FAA database also ignores the 2nd letter and to me should be the ultimate authority on how N- are displayed.
They are valid, just not supported in the online database. It only applies to pre-1948 aircraft:
These airworthiness indicators were; "C" for standard, "R" for restricted, "X" for experimental, and later an "L" for limited, (for example, NC1234). This was standard until December 31, 1948, when aircraft registered for the first time were required to display identification marks consisting of only the Roman capital letter "N" followed by the registration number.

AJ - what about new build aircraft like P51's? etc these often carry NC or NL yet were built in the last few years. At EAA this year there was a 2004 built replica of a Stearman 4E - it was carrying a NX reg (NX623YT iirc) yet is a new airframe and appears in FAA database as such. Just trying to get my head around this situation which has not been an issue (for me) before.
Best way is to list it as it appears on the aircraft.

Hi all,
Greetings from India. I'm looking to upload an Interior Shot of an AA MD-8X aircraft. But i'm absolutely clueless about the Rego. The Flt was operated as AA 386 ORD-LGA on 07/22/2008. Can anybody suggest how to go about with the upload? Is it fine if i put N***** in the Reg field?
Thanks in advance.
- Rutvij.

Quote from the upload guideline:
If you do not have the reg info please leave the reg box blank examples such as - G-BM??, N4*****, UNKNOWN and so on will not be accepted.
In your case, the flight was operated by N9629H ;-)

I've got a window shot from southwest flight 1196 MDW to IAD on the 31st of Oct but I forgot to look at the Reg # of the aircraft. Is there a web site I can go to find out what reg was used that day. Everything I have found just shows the aircraft type.
Thanks
Pat

I attended the NBAA 2009 and there were several "mock ups". I got this plane at the Piaggio Stand showing the REG N180PA . However, checking the FAA website that REG belongs to an old Piper. How can I upload this Piaggio Mock Up ?
Thx, Melvin
