Clone Stamp Tool

Dear All
Could someone please explain to me how to use the clone stamp tool in Photoshop Elements 2 to get rid of dust and the like in images,if it's not to much trouble.
I can't work it out from the instructions on the PC,DUH!

I use elements one...but it should be the same.

Push "ALT" then select the spot where you would like to clone from. The just move you cursor(brush) over what ever you want removed.
