this was rejected due to the horizon not being level.
i am not sure if i have been looking at it to long so i cant tell, but i cant pick where it is unlevel, can someone help me to level it or point out the fault??

if it is due to the hills being uneven then that would be because that area of perth is very hilly in parts and lower in others?

Have a look at the tower in the background. It leans to the left. Rotate the picture to the right until the tower is straight and you'll be fine. :)

Honestly speaking, the second picture looks a bit oversharpened. But the colours and of course the horizon look definitely better.

"A Quick way to straighten a pic (In Photoshop) is to use the rulers tool, draw a line across where the ground meets the sky, then go to Image>Rotate Canvass>Arbitrary and it will tell you how much the image needs to be rotated to make it level"
Oh yeah, i wonder where you got this info from

Shaun
I would suggest in most cases you look for a known veritcal (eg. the tower) rather than a horizontal line to get a shot level - horizontal lines can be misleading depending on your angle to the subject - though obviously a flat horizon should be pretty reliable :)

I agree with Colin, usually look for a Control tower, light poles, or some other vertical structure. It can be tough though sometimes when there is a cluttered background :)
Kevin, if you look at the horizontal stab in your pic, there are jaggies along the leading edge ;)

i submitted it 3 times, so who ever screens it can take the pic of which one looks best.
i used the rulers technique as stated above, does it automatically give you the correction degrees? or do you have to set it?
i used arbitrary and it gave 0 value, does that mean it needs no correcting or i have to make the judgement?
cheers.

You should get a value. Press Shift + i three times to activate the ruler tool. then click and drag along horizon or the tower, then go to image > rotate > arbitrary
I think maybe you used the rulers that you drag from the sides? ctrl + R to activate/deactivate those...
