Seattle-Dulles

UA260

We woke up in the morning to pack everything to the airport by 11am. The flight is 1:05pm and it about 5 hrs to get there for arrived in 9pm. We went to check-in counter to put all the luggages. We rushed to the N gate, after the secirity checkpoint. We ordered the foods before board the plane. I sat on 8C next to the window. It is my time to go to Wa Dulles since 1998. We almost went there in 1998, but no green card show up. I saw a youing FA in the first class cabin with casuel clothe. The plane begin to takeoff and fly to east coast. Duiring crusuie, the drink are serving, and the food is not free because the airlines want a food to pay by pax than free. It is about a few hrs to go into Dulles airport, and one woman has been walking around about 8 times. It is the 1st longest flight in the US. I am only took a drink then to sleep. As in a result, the plane ready to land, and I drank a water after a long flight from Seattle. The plane land in the runway with a r. trusters are very loud, and use a full flaps with speed brakes on as late. We arrived and go to the next flight.

Dulles to Frankfurt

UA 932

We rushed to the next gate by a minutes because the plane to leave as soon. I got a biz class upgrade and sat in 13A. I drank a orange juice on pre-flight and ready to takeoff. The crew ran to back the seat when it takeoff. On the crusie, there is a nice view of the scenrey with a lot of lights. It is only 7hrs to go into FRA. The food to begin and the crew asked about a drink. I say "Orange" the crew misunderstood me. Crew say "Orange?" I ate a nuts in a small bowl. I end it up ate two nuts. I am waiting for next food before I sleep. The TV was crooked because I cant adjust the TV. After the dinner, I went to sleep, and the seat went outdate and little uncomfortable. Differnet airlines has better biz seats. I dont usually watch the movies because it wasnt popluar to watch and there is no praite the deadman cheast and Superman return. It is almost a few hrs to arrived in FRA. The breakfast was set, and I drank a tea instead of coffee. The plane ready to landing, and I took a one pix on the view. The plane touchdown, and use a r. trusters for short. The sound was quiet. We arrived in the airport in 12pm and stayed in the hotel for one night.

The next flight to Malaga is coming soon.

Anyway, do you understand?

Cant wait for your Malaga Report.

I guess. I saw the flight map that doesnt have countdown timer for arrived in FRA.

Yep, I got a upgrade from eco plus to biz classes.

It strange on the plane based on non-ER has international seats like Asian routes.

July 17: Frankfurt-Malaga

LH 4518

D-ARIB

We woke up this morning after one night from US. The flight is 2pm, and check out at the hotel at 11am. We went to breakfast and went back to the room to pack the things. I pick up the box that lost from last night. We went to check in counter, and put all the luggages. The luggages cost 25 € because of overweight. We pay for it, and change the seat. I dont like to sitting in 33C is a last row on the A321 plane. My brother asked for window seats. Thanks for LH crew to change the seat from 33C to 6F. Now, I am walking arouind the airport b/c the flight is few hr to go. I brought some stuff, and walk back to the gate. We board the plane of A321, and inside the cabin has a new leather seats. I like the new leather seats more than old leather seats. The plane begin to takeoff. I took a film on takeoff. The plane took off and criuse to the Malaga. The foods was serving and I choose water. I took a short sleep because the flight is about 3 a half hrs to go into Malaga. The plane ready to landing and the weather is awful. It is too cloudy and rain. The plane touchdown the runway, and taxi to the gate. I took a film on landing. We arrived in Malaga at around 5pm.

Overall flights are good.

I know it is ideal to fly on stopovers if you like the stopovers.(spotter?) LH launched their FRA-MNL nonstop 7 months ago. Why didnt you choosed that , unless it was a full flight ?

Btw. This flight is still operated with A346's

Alaska Airlines flies MIA-SEA which is longer at 6 hrs and 45 min block time, versus MCO-SEA which is only 6 hrs and 25 min block time.

However...these two are still not the Country's longest flight, this goes to...

Continental Airline's Boeing 764 Flight 15
EWR-HNL Blocked at exactly 11 hrs.

Ok then in the traditional sense of cross country from East coast to West coast that would be BOS-SFO as the longest blocked at 6 hrs and 50 minutes, just 5 min more then MIA-SEA.

Ok, two different things here. Usually when people talk about the longest flight they refer it in terms of flight time because THAT is what it equates to actual flight time. Distance means nothing if it still takes awhile to get there.

BOS-SFO is 6 hrs and 50 min block TIME so it takes longer to fly it then it does MIA-SEA which is 6 hrs and 45 min block TIME.

If you are reffering to distance then yes obviously, MIA-SEA is longer by only 20 more miles.

However it is rare people use distance when referring to longest flight, they usually go by flight time.

Cross country is any flight that is 50nm or more from point to point. I guess the correct term for what you are asking is "trans-con".

Also, flight time depends on winds aloft. If you have strong winds, your flight will be longer (in terms of time) then with weaker winds. It also depends on the actual route taken and the speed that you fly at. All these things can vary from day to day.

Most likely more reliable than something you read in a magazine. He states facts and you demand facts to back up those facts. Do you enjoy making an ass of yourself all the time, or does it get old? Why you start these arguments is beyond me.

BoeingKing77

I'm just stating my point.Airliners is a respected magazine with many people in the Jetphotos group getting copies.Even AJ gets it.He submits photos to it.Everything in that book is a fact, only a few things r mistakes. And the readers notice it and send in questions.

The stuff you read in Airliners is all written through the eyes of the writer. Its NOT all fact. No magazine is. And as awesome as AJ is, I don't see how him buying some issues of airliners makes the whole magazine flawless. Now, Les Abend on the other hand...

As Chasen stated, this isn't a printed or linked source. When aviation people discuss longest flight it is almost always in terms of flight hours NOT distance. When someone asks you "hey, how long was your flight?" You automatically assume flight time so you'd say "Oh it was about 3 hrs long", NOT "it was 267 miles long..."

Nope found out the longest flight.Alaska flight 17 nonstop MIA-SEA,blocked in at 6:10,compared to 5:41 for Bosten to SEA

Guess what, you are WRONG. I proved you two facts, BOS-SFO in terms of cross country, or as Paul technically stated (thanks) Trans Continental, is the longest flight in terms of hours at a block time of 6 hrs and 50 minutes, which is LONGER then your claimed BOS-SEA (not sure how this got brought up?) as well as MIA-SEA, and MCO-SEA or even SEA-IAD.

BOS-SFO 6 hrs 50 min
MIA-SEA 6 hrs 45 min
MCO-SEA 6 hrs 24 min

I just looked at www.alaskaairlines.com typed MIA-SEA and it shows STRAIGHT from the website as

[Flight operated by Alaska Airlines] 10:00 am 1:45 pm AS17 0 $479.00
$599.00

View seat map Total Duration: 6 hr 45 min

Now, are you done trying to one up everyone and try to get them wrong when you keep proving yourself wrong even when the cold hard facts are sitting right in front of you?
