O & D = "origin and departure" (I think), which is airline-speak for cities where you begin or end your trip. So this thread is about airports you have been to, but did not begin or end your trip. I have 5:

IAD
Numerous flights on Ozark LGA-IAD-CMI (Willard Airport, Champaign/Urbana, IL) in the early 70s

FAY
An intermediate stop on a Piedmont trip from CLT to ORF (Norfolk, VA) in March, 1976.

DFW
August 1979, AA DC-10 JFK-DFW-LAX

DEN
This was Stapleton, not the current Denver International. June of 1989, connected on a flight from CLE to a flight to LAX (both on UA)

STL
June 1987, connected from one TW flight from CLE to a 2nd TW flight to CMI.

Short list here, I flew United almost my entire life and always ended up at the same airports, and now I am a frequent flyer on F9, so I've grown quite fond of Denver. Anyway, here they are:

-DEN
-ORD
-LAX(diversion durring DEN-SFO)
-LAS

Well, since I mainly fly between the UK and NZ, its been LAX about 5 times, all of which were experiences I would very much like to forget, and when flying domestic in NZ and Aus, have been via MEL, ADL, DUD, CHC, and WLG.

Oops, that reminds me, I was flying JFK-LAX in 1975 on a TW 741? and we had to make a 7 hour mx stop at MCI (problem w/ #3 engine). Left JFK at 12 noon Eastern, got to LAX at 900 PM Pacific (which was Midnight Eastern). Nice trip :P

I know this thread has been dormant for awhile, but I just remembered another one. I was on a TW 741, JFK-LAX in 1975, when we had to make an unscheduled stop at MCI due to a problem with the #3 engine. SEVEN HOURS later, we arrived at LAX :P We had left JFK at 12:00 Noon EST, supposed to arrive at LAX around 2 PM PST, actually arrived at LAX around 9 PM PST, which was Midnight EST. 12 hours in a plane, nice (even if it was a 747). The F/As tried to make it nice, the movie had been playing when we had to land at MCI, they shut it off while we were descending, then once parked at the gate, they restarted it. Then they invited us Y folks to the upper level (possibly a peek in the cockpit). After a few hours, they let us go into the terminal to get something to eat, but the consessions folks hadn't been expecting a nearly full 747 and ran out of food! The worst part was that the concessions were outside of the security area, so we had to be rescreened once we finally reboarded. Fun first-ever trip to California.
(I always wondered if that 741 was the same one that was destroyed on the ill-fated flight 800 some 21 years later).

I live in NY, so you can pretty much get any where direct. The only time I can remember is a stop in either CVG or CLE (I was 8 at the time, so I dont remember. It was delta, so most likely it was CVG. THis was odd because I was flying NY-ATL. We must have booked really late). THere could be more that I don't remember cause I was too young.
