Hong Kong customs authorities have seized an aircraft believed to be a Soviet-made Mig-29 Fulcrum fighter jet at the Kwai Chung Container Terminal after a routine check revealed the shipment was missing an import license.

By the way, this could probably be considered more Off-Topic than Military. Feel free to move it if that is so.

So it was destined to the United States ? What else is new ? Its not the first time they get some illegal stuff anyway, atleast not that of a big piece of military aircraft. But Machine guns, and unloaded ammo's .. Rather interesting to read about though.

Could it be an american fighter collector who wanted this shipped over to the States ? Face the facts that this has not anything to do with terrorism in the end.

^If so, he would have been better off to see the movie "Lord of War" starring Nicolas Cage, Ethan Hawke and Jared Leto before signing anything

Alain Another "Sum of all fears" ... Where an aircraft is being smugled into the States, using the mig to infiltrate and destroying the US infrastructure. or something like that. Hahaha:lol:
