Well, other fighter jets have been rebuilt to be drones in their afterlive, and other stuff, so I could very well imagine this working out. Operational success, yes; financial success, would remain to be seen.

yeah, I think it would work, but I'm not sure if the costs to retro fit some F-14s would make it worthwhile.

Seeing this could indeed be a succesful, if this was to be real, it will be nice to see the Tomcats rule the skies again, atleast in a little bit higher orbit.
