Hi all,

I'm happy to announce the opening of our new Digital Photo Processing Forum!

A great photo starts with the photographer, no doubt -- but with proper editing and processing before uploading, and just a little bit of time invested, it can become much, much better!

This forum is the place to discuss tips and tricks for getting the most out of your Photo Editing software, and should also serve as a learning tool for those photographers who are just getting started with this, at times, very complex software.

Additionally, members of the JetPhotos.Net screening team will regularly check the forum, give their tips and advice, and provide suggestions on how to bring borderline photos up to the standards of our database.

I'd like to give a big thank you to the members of the screening team who've suggested this idea, offered to moderate it, and participate for the benefit of everyone -- Andrew Hunt, Gabe Basco, Garry Lewis, and Jason Nicholls.

Hope you guys find this new feature of JetPhotos.Net useful, helpful, and enjoyable.

Good idea! This is the right time to bring this old saying back that brings tears into my eyes every time I read it:

We're people who live and breathe aviation. We're people who are perfectly content to spend hours on end sitting at the end of an airport runway. We're people who look to the sky whenever the faint sound of jet engines can be heard, squinting into the sun to catch that one glimpse of the marvelous machine flying above our heads.

We're people who snap hundreds of photos of different airliners, meticulously categorize them, and store them to someday show our friends and family. We're people who never look at an airplane without thinking "I wish I was on that plane."

We're people who don't believe that one should have to own a $5000 camera, and be a professional photographer, to get their photos accepted into an online airliner photo database.

We're Plane Spotters.

Grtz,

Nicki

Hey there everybody,

I think that this is very good.  Come on, this sight gets better everyday!!! :smilewin:

KEVIN,

I have a few questions. I have a macintosh Imac, and i have PHOTOSHOP 6.0. My pictures are always rejected and they say they are bad quality, to grainy, and sharpening is needed. Do you know how I can improve my pics? Thanks

STEFANO

Use iPhoto. I also have an iMac and 107 pics in the d/b. If you are shooting with a good digital camera iPhoto is pretty much the only thing you need. otherwise you'll have to use Photoshop alot. Also Safari (the Mac browser) won't upload to jp.net, you have to use IE.

Greg,

You made a good point when you mentioned "Safari". While I still use Netscape (and I do have IE) as my default browser, however I am wondering if JP will support "Safari" in future since Microsoft will no longer provide updates for the Mac version of IE. I am looking to add it to my year old G4 as it looks and sounds very promising from what little I have seen so far.
