I just came back from spotting at LGA. 35 MPH gusts coming from the north are making it tough for me to film.
I shoot video, and it's more important to keep it straight to filming, and man was that tough!
The wind chill makes it feel like its 2 degrees, but other than that, high winds, clear skies and runway 31 landings and departing makes for a great day of spotting at LGA.
If anyone is ever down for some LGA action, jsut email me.

Windy is an understatement!
I was down at ISP early today and dam it is kicking up. 35 to 40mph+ wind gusts! Made for some interesting landings for the small props. On a side note there was really cool looking private 737 parked near the tower, rainbow looking color scheme, very loud. I to far to see it's reg number. Phil where do you go spotting at LGA? One day I have to take a ride in and check it out myself. ISP is alright but I'm tired on watching flying pumpkins and beach balls (Southwest) all the time.

Yeah, I used one. the wind was that hard. It will be that way in 50MPH gusts until I get an 80 pound tripod.

Not only was it windy today... it was freezing. Went running and took me 2 hours for my hands to warm up afterwards. It doesn't help that i insist on running in shorts and t shirt! images/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I'm telling ya, I was. One hand on the tripod, and the other functioning the camera.
I bench 200 and curl 50, so it's not like I'm weak. lol images/smiles/icon_razz.gif
