Hiya in the Summer holidays i recently flew with Monarch on there routine Manchester - Palma flight! At around 5.30am we started boarding for an estimated departure time of 6.00am we were seated above the wing and i got a nice view of the engine! i sat with my mum and sister and my dad was sat at the other side of the isle. Me and my mum+sis were all packed in and when the Cabin Crew shut the door i realised no-one had turned up to sit in the seats next to my dad! so i got a window seat and extra seating - legroom!

The plane lifted off runway 24L at around 6.10am because we had to wait for an Air Contractors ATR-72 and whilst roling down the runway i aslo spotted that the Lufhansa retrojet parked at the terminal!

After that the flight was good and ontime we followed an FCA A320 all the way over France then we lost them!:-( The Crew on this flight were notthinking that it's a early morning flight and people wanted sleep as when they needed something from another crew member they pressed the nearest Cabin Crew all button and it woke up my dad about 5 times!

Over Barcelona i spotted the FCA A320 again but then we started our decent into PMI and the FCA followed us into PMI (we lanned first:lol: )

That was our flight over and it was an enjoyable first time on Monarch although they woudnt be my first choice of airlines to fly with next time!

Some pics while i was waiting for my flight back to Manchester:

Its always fun when your following another flight, I remember when I went SFO-DEN and a 763 was right behind us the whole time. Great report.

Yup definitely fun chasing another plane lol :p, on my flight back on aug 29th with Ba flying from Toronto, we over took an Air Canada 767 just as we were getting into the UK and he was a couple of thousand feet below us. Took us about 30 mins to fully overtake him though, but i did watch with some fascination though. Guess they had a good look at our bird as we cruised by them :D
