Im supposed to flying to BEG on Friday 2nd December to visit family. I leave MEL with EK. EK serves MEL 2 x daily. I was thinking about leaving early and catch the 20:30 flight (EK405) on B773, but that stops over in SIN. EK407 goes non-stop to DXB and lands 5 minutes earlier in DXB, thats A345.

What is the EK A345 flights like? what can i expect fom these flights? I have a connection with JU to BEG for the info, and is going via KWI both ways. What is connections like in DXB? Anything to do at DXB? I've heard negative comments about EK, but also possitive. I've come here as i know someone has to have had an experience on EK. Comments on JU is also welcome.

I couldn't tell you much about the 773, but if its only a difference of five minutes then you could take the stopover - that way you get double the enjoyment of landing and takeoff :-). I went on their A345 CHC-MEL and it was pretty good, not as amazing as I thought it would be but still cool. I imagine the 773 is equipped with it too but the nose and belly cams are great fun :-D. The only thing I found crap about it was the colours they used for the economy seats.

I want a window seat when i fly out. Especially for the JU flights. JU seats are given out from a heap of cities like MEL, AKL, SYD, PER, SIN, DXB, EBB etc..I have school on that day till 14:30 i think, as it is the last day. EK405 (B773) departs at 8:30 with check in at 17:00 i think. EK407 departs 20:30 and i thought catch EK407 as it's non-stop and quicker. i think the stopover in SIN would be a waste of time, especially if they dont allow you to leave the aircraft. i would have a chance to experience double landing and takeoffs on 1 flight with JU as the flight to/from BEG is via KWI.
