What is to be expected on Song? Is all the food just for sale, or do they give out stuff like peanuts and drinks if you don't want to buy? Also is the IFE all free except for the movies and games? I think it is, but not exactly sure. Also could I use my own headphones in it, or are the jacks the 2 prong ones? I looked at their online IFE preview and it seems pretty cool!

1 prong headphone so you're all set. I was on N697DL just a few weeks ago. The IFE begins while you're ON THE GROUND...there's a game you can play against other pax..like a trivia game DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL...which was REALLY cool. I got 2 Ham and Cheese sandwiches for $8 each (really expensive but they were REALLY good). The only thing I wasn't happy about was that they made you pay for the movies. They hand out headphones at boarding time also in case you don't have any. They're pretty cheesy...like the ones you stick in your ears, but they do the job :)

Another unique feature of their Ife is their map view; which constantly rotates between a detailed map of your intended route and travel information (airplane speed, miles flown, time in air,etc...)

Just wondering, did you mean GOOD or GOD? Either way I don't have a problem I was just wondering if it was a typo or something.

My only intended experience on them was a couple weeks ago, I was supposed to take them home from TPA-BOS but our a/c was swapped to a REGULAR Delta 757! I was pissed royally, so I complained and they put me on Delta mainline, 762 to ATL, and MD88 to PVD instead which eliminated 45min less driving :-). I was happy after that hehe.

Edit - Not to mention the MD-88 was in the new interior configuration, very nice looking atcually. Makes the MD's look brand new.
