The only reason groups like PETA exist is due to news coverage. They're kinda like that kid that always said stupid stuff in your History class. If you ignore him, he goes away.

I personally find liberal rights groups like this to be totally moronic.

Oh good Lord, most cows in California do roam in wide open pastures. The muddy fenced in conditions only occur near the actual dairy were the milking takes place. Geeze I am all for human treatment of animals. But cows in California are treated better than the average house pet. The simple reason is a sick cow does not produce milk. No milk, no profits. My cousin owns a dairy in the centeral valley and I have seen first hand how cows are treated. They are treated just fine. The vets vist them more times a year than most house pets visit a vet in a lifetime. These PETA people are morons.
