VG Airlines is now officially bankrupt...
All 3 A330s are going to Cyprus.. for some reason not Chateraux. A true sad day for European Aviation.

I thought VanGard was a North American carrier using MD-80's?

VG Airlines was a relatively new airline established in Belgium in hope to lure long haul business from the demise of SABENA. It mainly flew between Brussels and US, and also between Brussels and Yerevan (Armenia).

It has nothing to do with Vanguard, which was a MD80/737 low cost start-up operator based in Kansas City.

The only common point is, both are bankrupted now.

VG's A330s were here at YUL for a few months. They were repainted and sent to Malaysia Airlines.
