This was the First time we Choose HLX for a Daytrip and it was really Cheap 40 € each person, because we Book almost 3 month before the Flight. HLX use the New Terminal 2 at CGN a nice Building with a lot Glass and Steal that’s make it wide open and friendly. The Check-in was around 05:20 and was very nice and fast , you just has to show you ID and got the Boarding pass

Security are firm but always nice and Friendly we had to show the ID and Boarding Pass 3 times before we finally reach Gate 20 I Count 34 passengers at this morning, here our “taxi” already has wait for us and around 6:20 the Boarding start. HLX Don’t use any Special Boarding arrangement just a “Now Boarding call” and every one gets in how he came to the Gate.

3 Flight Attendants Welcomes you with a Friendly “Good Morning” as you Enter the Aircraft we seated in row 25 and 24. The Interior was Clean and the Grey Leather Seats had normal Seat Pitch a bit to less for me but I’m almost 2 meters and for an 1 Hour Flight it was Ok. Right after everyone find his seat the Flight Attendants start the Safety instruction first in German and the in English and the Plane was already Pushback during the instruction.

We Taxi to Runway 32R and get Right on it and Power. After a short Distance we took off .The Fasten Seatbelt Light turn off after 10 Minutes, it took not long and a trolleys was Pushed through the Cabin were you Could buy Snacks and Coffee, Follow by a Trolley with perfumes and chocolate and a few Other things. We did not buy anything but I believe the Coffee was sold for 2.5€.

We heading Northwest over Belgium and the Northsea and reaching the English Coast near Great Yarmouth. Over Nottingham we start to descend and 10 Minutes later we made a Very nice landing on RWY 06R in Manchester

Manchester Airport T1 is let me say it Diplomatic is an old Airport but they rebuild it at the moment and the Parts that are Finish like the T1 Check-in looking Fine, the rest is a Mix of building site and “Good old England”, but not so bad like the Terrible old terminal in Heathrow that I pass last year!!

After 5 min we were out of Terminal 1 and the Girls went into Town for Shopping and sightseeing And I and my Friend went for a nice day off Spotting I Took around 200 Photos for my Collection, the traffic in MAN is Great Almost all English Charter Airlines can me seen and a lot other the Highlight for me was Thomas Cook A330 and 3 My Travel DC10. Weather was Great until 14:00 I Even got a Sunburn on my face and that in Manchester !!

Everything was Fine beside some Turbulence burring Take off and passing through the Clouds, Heavy enough to make my Girlfriend look concerned for a few Minutes Landing at CGN was fine

It was a Nice Daytrip and I was Positive Surprised about HLX Nice Personal Nice Aircraft and Flight I give them a C+++. A lot better as my last “low Fares” HHN-PGF flight with Ryanair were I was a Victim of a Chewing gum and with some enrage Flight Attendees.

This I my First Trip report let me know how you like it maybe more will follow .In July I give Germanwings a try on a Flight to Zurich lets see how do it, And Sorry for the English but its almost 16 years since some Teacher try to teach it

Tanuj, on LCCs they don't provide food in the fare, service is also minimal too. That's why tickets are so cheap....

Great report!!!

Good review there!

btw, you get free snacks on Southwest over here in the states. And yes, Will rogers Airport in OKC is served by two low-cost carriers-Southwest and Frontier. :D
