Threat to be banned

Hey, you guys have read hundreds of posts from me, and have realized that I quite frankly speak out my opinion. I also like arguing, and some of my posts have been very critical on the USA. Since this board is in the USA and run by Americans, I acknowledge that some of you do not like this, above all Lord Chris. In one of his last replies he put up the threat of a ban for me.

I just wanted to let you all know that no one is going to ban me from a board more than once. So far I have only been banned once, in a German board. All other boards are happy to see a diversified opinion.

So if I am going to be banned here, I will not come back, and have all my photos removed from the database. Goodbye then, JP.Net.

Chris, it is up to you to loose a valuable contributor just for frankly saying his opinion.

I don't have any problem with "Bush bashing," or nearly anything else for that matter. There are far more people here than just Aerpix who bash Bush, and nobody has threatened to ban any of them. In fact, the only person to have ever been suspended or banned from this forum agrees with me on almost everything.

However, every one of Peter's posts is inflammatory, insulting, and filled with double-standards and mischaractarizations of what others have said. Not to mention personal insults such as "you suck!," which is a bannable offense if said to anyone, not just a moderator.

Posting outright lies, calling all Americans "idiots" because they don't agree with your views, and making numerous posts for the express purpose of inflaming other users will get you nowhere on this board.

This is where my problem lies.

If you feel you are too good for this site, or above the rules, to which everyone else (including many, many with whom I disagree) have abided by, that's fine.

Test me.

You and me, Chris, come from areas in this world where the right of free speech and free opinion rule. I am grateful that I have this right, and you should be, too, Chris. Many people do not have this right, too many.

So what I am doing here is exactly that, writing my true opinion. That is valid for each and every post, be it aviation, photography or poliltics.

If this is where your problem is, Chris, then you can probably not be helped. It is up to you whether you want to remove me, but I will not agree to a ban. Either you accept the right of free speech, or you remove me once and forever.

I do not test you, but I will continue to reply to your, or any other's posts that I feel need a reply. The decision is yours.

Aerpix, I value your posts well above that of anyone else. Not just because we share similar views, but how you eloquently make and support your statements. You are by far in no way nearly as offensive as other users on this forum. OK, sometimes I may not agree with some of your statements but you have the right to make them nonetheless and your voice is a welcome defiance in the Off Topic forum of the hard-liners. Chris, you did call PK246 an idiot and have grossly disrespected a religion you know nothing about. I have also sent you personal messages about NWA Flyer757 (now DeltaCappy) and JeffM who have made statements by far more insulting to a wide range of fellow posters.

Thanks a lot guys, for your encouraging comments, much appreciated. As of now I am still here and allowed in. Of course I will respect Chris' decision, whatever it will be. I do not threat with the withdrawal of my photos so that I can stay here, I have my own site and can publish any photo I want there. I am not really after hits in any of the image databases in the net, but do not mind publishing a couple of shots now and then either.

I have a clear policy. When I am banned, I will go, forever. This has happened only once so far, and the reason was (for Tony) that I complained about pop-up advertisements and recommended other users also complaining to install a tool like Webwasher to kill them. This was found to be offending, and I was banned. This board was no database, just a discussion board, the largest aviation board in Germany. After I was banned I requested that my account was deleted once and forever. That's my policy, and this will also apply here, should I be banned, for whatever reason.

So for the time being I will continue to reply to those post I feel need a reply. And I will continue to issue my own personal oppinion, whether liked or not by other users.

Look this whole idea of banning is really stupid. Just because one person does not like another person opinions does not make that person a criminal. I for one have had it with all this silly non sense about banning that person or banning this person. Child's play IMHO. If that person's opinions does not leave a good taste in your mouth. Do this.

1. Do not read that persons post.
2. Turn off the computer

Simple as that. In life you are going to run into a few "assholes". Either they will make or break you. Banning the people you don't agree with is letting the "asshole" win.
