I have seen some 747-300s without VHF antenna on their wingtips. One of such 747-300s is AP-BFY of PIA. I have also seen a 747-300 of Thai Airways without VHF antenna on its wingtips. Why these 747-300s do not have VHF antennas on wingtips? Are these antennas place at some other place on these 747-300s? Thanks for your answers.
